Christine Dupuis et Thorsten Baensch
For 27 years, Christine Dupuis and Thorsten Baensch traveled the world with their mobile kitchen. The concept is simple: exchange a bowl of soup or a Chococot cake for a family recipe or a culinary story. Over the years, they have amassed an extraordinary collection of 1,812 handwritten documents. On Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, the LMNO Gallery and the nonprofit Ecologisons-nous! will host the final presentation of “Kitchen,” the portable kitchen. On that day, Bartleby & Co.'s collection of cookbooks, a mock-up of the project's latest edition, the complete archive, and other works will be on display. After this event, the kitchen's cardboard boxes will be used as covers for a five-volume archival book comprising 2,360 pages. In this way, “Kitchen” will be transformed into an artist's book.
